ProMet understands that due diligence and care for the environment and its sustainability are not only necessary parts of conducting its business operations but also are advantageous to its business and professional reputation. ProMet is therefore committed in all of its activities to protect and sustain the environment, in accordance with the requirements of the law, its clients and the expectations of the community.
Environmental Objectives
ProMet’s objectives are to:
- conduct studies and projects in a manner that will incorporate the protection and sustainability of the environment;
- adopt engineering principles that will reduce and restrict the amount of waste materials and emissions;
- minimise the environmental impacts of its business practices on the local environment, e.g. reduce waste and increase recycling; and
- increase environmental awareness and its sustainability amongst its personnel and other stakeholders.
Commitment to the Environment
ProMet’s management is committed to:
- planning, developing, implementing and monitoring of relevant business processes, plans and procedures to minimise unfavourable environmental impacts that may result from its operations;
- pursuing the continual development and improvement of business processes, plans and procedures to achieve the environmental objectives;
- ensuring the availability of company resources and skills to enable compliance with current environmental legislation, legal requirements and achievement of environmental objectives; and
- promoting communication about environmental and sustainability management as a normal component in all aspects of its work, with particular emphasis during studies and in project induction programs.
